Here's an eHow video I found on how to vacuum carpets, the interesting thing is she is using a Hoover Elite from the 90s. But the headlight bulb is out!

That's exactly the same model my mom has - model U4617-930. Only, the tools on this one are black and hers are gray.

Does it seem odd to need a "how to" video? "turn it on and push.... Cover every inch of carpet. Guess what? When there's no more dirt, the carpet is clean.MAybe some might to "keep for reference". Sorry, it's Friday.

Oh its just begging someone to do a video with a SEBO X and instead of removing hard stuff off a carpet beforehand, just go ahead and roll the upright over nuts, bolts, coins and smashed glass.

Better yet, how your vacuum WON'T clean with a worn belt

I have this exact model. It is easy to hear the brushroll vibrate on the carpet. The belt is obviously broken, or very worn. Sadly, her carpet will probably not be getting very clean.....

With clean air vacuums---CAREFUL there-these machines brushroll housings can be cracked or damaged from hard or sharp objects-no damage should happen if something like this is picked up accidently-but don't want to do it on purpose-a floor covered with that type of debris will damage the vacuum.Otherwards don't use your roller brush upright to pick renovation debris-go over it with a shop type vac first-then the rollerbrush vac.I have seen cracked clean air brush housings in vac shops when folks were picking up coins, nails, screws and such on purpose.I have Sebo vacuums and won't use them in that way.It would be abuse-and could invalidate the machines warrantee.
