I used some Christmas earnings-overtime to get a really neat vacuum cleaner Christmas present-Two new Riccar vacuums-A premium blue Brilliance and last but not least a Pearl Premium Radiance.Love em both-and they sure are an improvement over the orginal Red Radiance-got that when it first came out.On my Red model I had to adjust the floor nozzle height to Max height because the primary fan and roller brush mtor overload would kick the motor off. With the two new ones I can set the nozzle height to "auto" and the motors don't trip off.I think the "auto" sdetting gives a deeper cleaning.the beater bar brush can dig deeper into the carpeting. You can feel the floor tremble with these Riccars just like with a Kirby or a Royal.Love them both!and the dirt indicator lights on the Radiance Pearl are very interesting.Seems to be effiective.I checked the bag after a spin around my place and those Riccars are digging up sand other vacs have missed including the Kirbys and Royals.now my Kirbys and Royals have worthy contenders!I really enjoy these new Riccars.Got inspired to get them when I saw the film clip of Kyle getting his beautiful Brilliuance-then wanted my own.Now I have it and its a Merry christmas for me.and that cool Pearl Radiance too!Since I don't have a camera linked to the Riccar site. And I was able to take my older Radiance to my Riccar dealer to get the motor control board upgraded to the new one-so the machine won't kick off on my deep carpets when set to "auto'

Those are great additions! My next new purchase will be the Premium Synergy (Simplicity version). I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with those - definitely my kind of machines. Is the feel different between the two machines? Simplicity has the Synchrony, but I haven't really considered getting one in addition to the Synergy because they seem so similar. (Also, I don't like any of the Synchrony colors as well as the blue Riccar.)

Enjoy your Christmas presents! Post picture, please!

There is a slight diffrence between the Brilliance and Radiance-the Brilliance seems a little lighter and easier to pull back.In the "Auto" mode both of their beater bars dig deeper in the carpet-and the forward stroke is really self propelled-these machine want to drag race!Like that they dig deeper into the carpet than others I have-even including the Kirbys and Royals. The pull strokes on these give you and the carpet a workout. The Radiance has a slightly wider floor nozzle. And the Radiance "Pearl" Premium comes with an addional soft comb dust brush and upolstery brush.Same tool that comes with the 1800 canister.I don't have a camera-so i linked to the Riccar site on my first entry.Guess I will need to get one someday. And then figure out how to transmit the pictures to this site.I use these machines carefully so as not to damage thier beautiful finshes-these things are finshed much like a new car! There is a dealer in Kinston NC that carries Simplicity.I don't like to deal with him-he dosen't like vac collectors!I have only bought two machines from him.He also has Royal and Oreck and carries sewing machines. He also has a Tri-Star franchise. Also its hard to get good deals from the Kinston dealer-the Green ville Vacuum Cleaner Hospital treats me well.I got a super deal on both machines.Cannot tell what I paid for them. The Vacuum Cleaner Hospital is the area Riccar dealer. He sells several 1500 canisters per month here-they are popular around here.He has sold only a few Radiances here.Me, and one of the cleaning companies, the neighboring Ford car dealer and some home customers.Sadly the Ford dealer really abuses their Brilliance-they got the standard model.already Bill has had to replace both motors and the circuit board. They badly eroded the primary fan and don't change the bag often enough. They really pack it full-and try to pick up anything.I try to treat mine more carefully.the Riccar rep did show to Bill-like the past Royal rep-by picking up pennies with the machines.I wouldn't try that at home with either the Royal or Radiance.
