I just picked up a VERY used Aerus Electrolux Guardian 9000, model C134F, and it needs rather a lot of work. Chiefly, a new cord winder and foot pedal. I need to ask those of you with experience with these newer Lux machines is this repair fairly easy or will I need to take it to the local Electrolux shop to have it done? This is a model that I have wanted for many years but could not afford... this one was only forty dollars. I'm sure most of you would have passed on it. There is a hole in the rear housing, the switch in the handle has been bypassed and the motor powers on when you plug it into the wall outlet. It is also missing it's cover over the top hose blower port and the attachments, except for the Side Kick II. At least it DID come with a few bags. What do you guys think? Did I do OK or should I toss it out and start saving my pennies for something better from eBay?
Thanks,
Justin
