Arlee has been in the Philippines since March 27 and returns on April 14.

While he's been gone, I've been having a vacuum cleaner lallapalooza. (He'd have a conniption if he came home and saw all these vacuum cleaners in the living room!)

Look at Doggie standing in the first photo with a look on his face that clearly asks, "What the heck is going ON in here??!"

I brought up five of my favorite Electroluxes -- Models XXX, E, E-A, F & R -- and gave them all spa treatments (more on the Model XXX later), and also two Kirbys -- 515 & 517 just for fun.

So here are some photos of my wild fun!

Your vacuums just wanted to come out and play!!!Now--which one to use first? The dog has a bewildered look on his face!

While I appreciate seeing your fave 5 Electroluxes I have to confess that my focus, too, was on Doggie--awww!

Back to cleaners ... I have a Model F with the ivory donut-shaped cord winder; which has a black cord with a round gray Electrolux plug. The cord needs replacement, so I'm wondering if the black cord was original to the Model F. If so, I'd like to find a similar cord. Otherwise, I will look for the standard gray cord.

Adorable doggie for sure, and those luxes....WOW!!! Of course that XXX is my pick of the entire bunch, I just have a soft spot for them.....in fact I may have to pull one out and pick up the crumbs around the kitchen table!! Your spa treatments are absolutely amazing on those old cleaners....it truly makes one really appreciate the quality and workmanship that went into those vintage vacuum cleaners!

Do you have problems with your Kirbys? I know if I leave mine alone in the living room they multiply like rabbits.

ALL my vacuum cleaners seem to breed like rabbits! Every time I go out into my workshop and start digging around, I seem to find a couple that I didn't know I had! hahaha

The little white doggie is named DOGGIE ... he's a Maltese. You can see a photo of him and my other baby in the Miscellanea Department under the heading "A couple more doggie photos...."

Steve, I have a photo set in the works of the XXX seen above. That model is one of my favorite Electroluxes too, particularly from a design standpoint. It's truly in a class of its own.

You and I have practically the same machines! My RC does not have a cord winder. I don't have a model XXX but I do have a LX. My Kirby 519 has a black currently made Kirby replacement bag but does have the grey cord with red ends and all its trim. I have an AE, G, RC, E, AF, and AE--but the AE is not anywhere as nice as yours. My Hoovers are 26,28,63,DAM powerdrive,918, and I have a Filter Queen and a GE. It is addictive isn't it!?
