Alex, Chris and the suction guy have points,

super-sweeper's profile picture

All these turbopower-desperate collectors have to go on is that there's 'supposedly' a bunch of NOS vacuums somewhere.no name, no photograph evidence, no nothing aside from some poorly written text. Only a vacuum Shop or so would hold onto these cleaners all these years, but being a vacuum Shop, why would they put stock aside instead of sell it off for $$$$$ when new?

Suspicion, suspicion.....

Well it might be Hoover's Turbopower models that have been re-tarted up and resprayed - not quite the Turbopower models we know from the 1980s etc but rather:

Your chair and liquid refreshment are in the mail!Tongue out

I'm lucky to be already sitting down, what exactly makes you think there's brand new Dyson vacuums,Tayyab?

Would you believe the Prime Minister telling you of brand new DC01' s buried in a time capsule in your backyard? Again, all we have to go on is poorly written text, no evidence that supports Citroen BX' s claims.

About a person on the internet? One must never judge people they've never met in reality in such ways, you hear the same story about people meeting other people on the internet, wiring money to them, ending up in a con scheme.you can barely trust people you meet in reality now-a-days! Kid, I'd suggest you take no part in this Turbopower thing until the Citroen guy can prove their existence, instead of telling unsuspecting collectors of this treasure trove of old vacuums.

Ok, there's lots of things wrong here.

1. That eBay seller is called Cee-Jay, and having previously had dealings with him, he has a Euronics shop and is clearing out some old stock. The pic above is not a Euronics centre, and the shop is called "Vacuum Hospital", not Cee-Jay.

Directly taken from the eBay listings:

"Euronics member established for over 15 years selling all domestic appliances, sinks, fires and fireplaces, furniture and beds"

2. The picture of the Hoover Purepower boxed above is a screenshot taken from the Hoover Cambuslang documentary, which is on YouTube.

So, as we were..

I CALL MORE BULL, Alex!!

Hi,

I am the seller-I was directed back to this page as I had a flurry of messages on eBay from collectors interested in Turbopowers.

I do have them. My father in law retired after 52 years trading in domestic appliance sales and collected an absurd amount of unsold stock which we are clearing out.

We have a huge amount of discontinued boxed new unused vacuum cleaners.
Old Panasonic MCE47, Dyson DC05's, 07's etc Turbopowers,Purepowers, Washers Vorwerk with cloth bags and plenty more, many which I have not yet listed/discovered. I really didn't realise there was so much enthusiasm!
I will upload some pictures/details and see what you guys think. I'm sure I am going to find some interesting items!

I am selling them for my partner who has inherited the business and stock. I will be visiting the London store and warehousing (pictured) tomorrow and will list them on eBay tomorrow evening/Friday depending on how much time I get.

I guess I am looking for Turbopower hoovers and boxed Dysons now. Any advice on what is desired would be appreciated so I can cherry pick!

I know the regulations are changing with regards to vacuum cleaners so figured these would sell to those who wanted larger motors- guess they are going to sell anyway!

Guys, I will have so many for you later.

I have just discovered a stash of DC04's. I will be listing later but I have purple and silver, yellow/grey and some in brown boxes which look pretty old and are Dyson but I can't get to the model for them until I empty some out.

More Hoovers too-another Turbopower and a Vortex???

I will sit down with Gareth later and see what he wants for them all but my eBay account has gone mad and I'm not sure I can fulfil the demand!

I'm sure myself and others on here would be happy to skip eBay and just pay directly!

Although personally I'd buy for the box as much as the machine, would wrapped up delivery be possible or is it collection only?

I would pay up to £300 for the DC04!

I have come across some Hoover accessories-genuine Hoover Turbomaster pipes and accessories in boxes and some pretty old Electrolux cylinder cleaners. Excuse pics-I took them in a dark, dusty loft.

:-)

Have you found any more Dysons and Hoover What you found so far is really cool

Post# 275449 , Reply# 96   4/10/2014 at 10:17 (3,667 days old) by madabouthoovers ()

The best thing to do is to list them all in auction format - that gives the best chance of raising the most money, and gives all us collectors a fair chance of getting these vacs. Some of these vacs could be worth a lot of money - the skys the limit.

The Turbopowers are very rare now, and many people here want them, and parts for them, so Auction format is a must.

What you have uncovered here is a very rare opportunity for people to buy old stock that is still in demand with collectors.

I am most interested in the Dysons (I think)
I would like either the DC01, DC04(s) DC07(s) or a DC14
I like DC15 too! :)
Plus if you have DC05 motorhead, DC07 Low reach, or allergy or an Animal DC14 or DC14 Origin yellow
or a DC01 Destijl or DC04 Destijl or that zorbster with the hopper attachment I would be very interested :D
Thank you! :)

Thank you for the advice. I will put some on eBay tonight.

It will be nice to get money back on them as we have stored them for a good while and paid London rates on the shops which held them, though there is a certain satisfaction in sending them to a good home where they will be appreciated.

Being in this industry, it is painful to see how disposable things have become and how the internet hammers us constantly. This is definitely a positive thing to come from the internet!

I will post links to the cleaners here.....

We will watch out for your items - remember - list in Auction format, as there will be more interest in certain cleaners like the early Dysons and Turbopowers. Auction is the fairest way to ensure everyone gets a fair crack at the whip, rather than a buy in now price, which may be less than the items are actually worth.

You can always start the items at what you want for them, or include a reserve price - but run them over 7 days on auction format, so that all interest is registered - that way, these rare, desireable items will realise their maximum potential.

If you do end up selling them on eBay, please could you include some sort of postage or courier details, as I guess collectors all over the UK will be interested. Thanks!

Thanks,
