hey guys, has anyone ever swapped motors on a SP windtunnel to a non SP windtunnel? Just curious if they're the same motors? or is the SP different? Is the wiring different as well?

i could imagine,

It swapping easier than cornbread, the only difference in machines is the Self-Propelled mechanism. Why would HOOVER bother making different motors for a nearly identical machine, anyhow?

If you look on parts diagrams, they do list two different part numbers for the SP and non SP Windtunnel motor assemblies. I haven't replaced a motor on one of those in a long time, but do recall them not being identical. I don't remember what the difference was, though.

I agree...

I'm pretty sure (but not positive) that the motors differ. I remember because I had a great looking non-SP model and kept waiting for another to be traded in, since the SP models wouldn't work... Just my $0.02
