On March 17, 18, 19, I'll be in Pittsburg. I'm "presenting" at a national convention. My subject is,"Teaching English Pronunciation in a Multilingual Classroom". Not the fun part.
The fun part is, I'll be close to Sam, Norm, and Dennis. I'm coming in the college van,, so, I can't drive at night. I know Sam and I are planning to have dinner. I HOPE I can meet the others. We can't very well wheel vacuums into the convention center. But, I look forward to seeing the gang again. John |

Hmmm!! The weekend before I have a Home Show that my Rainbow Distributor will be set up at. So I will be starting to get quite busy after that but perhaps we could arrange one night for me to stop up and do a visit or something. Keep me informed of your ventures. You have my number.
Afterall JOHNNY, you've been referred to as my Puppetmaster, so I must obey your every command!! |

The expression: " You can dress em up but can't take them out" doesn't even work for the photo above!! Look at my sloppy collar!!! Some director you are John. No one can even get me to dress properly for a good photo!!! I should've stolen that shirt since I'm so selfish and conceded inside!!!! Oh but yet as CHEAP as I am I'm willing to help you with dinner, cleanup and contribute by picking up all sorts of snacks and foods from the store. Somehow despite my selfishness I still make it on the invites list too...HMMM, HOW DOES THIS WORK????? A) It's the machine below in the picture!!! B) It Beats As It Sweeps As It Cleans!!! I really hope you can guess what I chose to clean with tonight!!! |

This may be totally off topic but.....here's a question for all you Hoover fans: Why did the company find it necessary to slap an ugly label on the "Bare Floor Tool"? It ruins the whole aesthetic of the on-board tool set on the canisters of that era. I mean, they did not feel the need to do the same thing for the other tools. And if Hoover felt it was really that important to label the brush, why didn't they go to the trouble of embossing the words right into the plastic like GE and Kenmore used to do?
Can the label be removed and the adhesive cleaned off without ruining the attachment? It's really a shame, considering that is one of the best little bare floor brushes ever made! :-) |

Yes that Bare floor brush label is removable. Actually they didn't start putting the label on those tools until late 90's or so on some PowerMax and Windtunnel canisters. The bare floor brush is the same color but not same brush that would have come with that Hoover Dimension 1000. In use these stickers actually get ruined. They are strictly stickers and with some oil or Goo gone the adhesive will wash off once sticker is removed.
I have no idea what possessed them label it. Technically it's a multipurpose brush for ceilings, walls and bare floors. |

Stay under your safety shelter in Northeast PA now with that comment!! Begged you for that shirt. LOL. I actually don't remember. OOPS, SO SORRY, my mind was put into a grievance because I was having user and machine errors with the Filter Queen that was new to me!!! We had so much fun that night but also some scary events as I thought my new career with Filter Queen was going to be tarnished since I was experiencing major issues with the competition. The "It Beats As It Sweeps As It Cleans" competition that is!!! The company that is maker of all but 2 machines in my house, **has two "O"s next to each other in the name and my favorites were made in the U.S.A. They seemed to be doing a better job than the machine I was doing a demo of that night!! Perhaps that's why I no longer have any Filter Queens in my possession anymore. Hmmmmm!!! My boss was unhelpful for advice too when this happened!!! But that's old news now. This post was last edited 03/13/2014 at 00:06 |
