I think the Hoover upright in this video is a Guardsman. This video is fun because it reminds me of the machine John Pease used to have in his collection. It was brand new and only used in his own house, which means it never had any dirt in it because there's not dirt anywhere there to pick up. Then, we put it onto the floor mats of Rick's car, and it blew up, 2-3 pounds of dirt in ten seconds everywhere. But, that upright is a lot of fun to use, even if it's not the best because of the dirt cup seals. The Eureka in this video is older, probably belongs in the vintage section. I have the green ESP widetrack model and love it. Could anyone here identify the model of that Eureka? It looks like it just has a cloth bag.

John's Hoover
The vacuum wasn't the problem. It just was subjected to unprecedented dirt that would have devistated nearly any vacuum. I was the person who was running the vacuum over that car mat, and I have vowed to replace John's Hoover with a new new one when I find one. I just wanted to see what would happen when I tried a dirt cup upright on the dirtiest material imaginable, and it just was too much. It was unfortunate, and I regret doing it.
