They certainly aren't a vacuum, the 88 or 89, that you run across very often if at all in thrift stores or flea markets from my experience. I wouldn't doubt that many are still in use with the original owners. |

Hey Rick: Actually there are two green machines the model 87 (standard) and the model 89 (delux) as well as a matching shampooer (B21). (Take a look at my web page to see them www.dkas1.50megs.com...) They are farily easy to come by here. I actually have several spare 89's but no parts at the moment (Pete and Dave cleaned me out). Doug said what I was gonna post now I'm highspeedwireless enabled again - in Minneapolis overnight. Yes, Doug was very very good to Pete and I as we re-created our 89 sets, well, me, my Mom's green 89. And at the famous Pete & Dave micromeet I found the pale green tool caddy to finish it all off. You'll probably have to do it the way we did - acquireing all the parts one by one over time...and you know how quickly that happens once the word is out. :-) |

Aha! That's what I'm missing. The 89 Owners Manual. Yes Charles, that ingeniously engineered ruggedly welded rug rake makes me want to get a 2" wooly shag remnant - in green - just to run it around. That's how it goes, Fred. I want a Singer S-4 upright soooo bad. We should start a Xmas Wish List thread. Everyone can list the missing bits & bobs all the way up to complete vacuums they would like/need to have and see what shows up on the doorstep. Probably have the best luck with the Bits & Bobs, tho, as everyone has a spare parts box, right? Dave |
