So thought I'd get some of my f&g machines to pose for a picture. On the left we have an interesting cross-breed, a 1945 and an ESP 2062 I think off the top of my head.
Thought I'd bring it up because it came at almost a surprise to me. I have had the "cross breed" for nearly 7 years now and until now never noticed it actually isn't a Sanitaire. When I got it, it had this flowery bag that was obviously not proper. Assuming it was a Sanitaire I came across this matching blue bag. Looking at it closely today I realized the base/motor and handle fork are a 1458D, and the hood came from a widetrack sanitaire, hence the "widetrack" labeling I never paid attention to before. What also arose a red flag was the fact that the headlight lens is red but the base is blue. More strangely yet, it has this cheap wooden brushroll in it that I've never seen in any eureka, but I have seen them around. I suspect a vacuum store beefed it up with sanitaire parts and threw on whatever bag they could find to sell it.
Thoughts for the day!

Very nice machines!! My favorite is the Sanitaire on the left if I had to choose of the 3! I'm a stickler for navy blue machines!!

I had the one in the middle but sold it recently. I still have a deluxe green model from the late 70's with 6.5 MP motor, 30' cord and two speeds. I just can't seem to let that one go as it cleans like bear.
