I am new to the kirby vacuum world. I was given a kirby classic omega vacuum and there is a hole in the bottom of the bag near the emptor and the zipper for the pocket is completely worn off. Can anyone suggest to me how to get a replacement bag? Is is possible to adapt the bags to use regular vacuum bags inside the outer bag?

If you're not overly concerned with looking original, you should be able to fit a Heritage II or Legend II bag/mini-emtor on there, and it will be able to use Generation/Sentria bags. There are some more involved MacGyverisms to retrofit an original bag and Sani-Emtor to take Generation-series bags. I roughly know what you'd need but not quite how to do it, as my only Kirby is a Heritage II Legend, which didn't need retrofitting.
I can make you a bag that looks original but takes the paper bags. I can either put a zipper on it, which costs a small amount of money, or cut a hole in the top so every time you need to change the bag you have to take off the bag hanger and undo some velcro. It will look original, except for the zipper on the first one.
