Hello Gareth, BEAUTIES!! Love the earlier model GA70 the best. I have a 1992 GS80; bought it new, 700 w; more than enough, love the machine, probably the last run of the best of nilfisk. GA70/80 range: the Rolls Royce of tub vacs!! Regards, Walter. |

Huh. Never seen one of those before, very nice! Do these use bags, or do they have a Silver King-style disk filter system? |

I have only ever seen one Nilfisk in person, but they are very interesting machines. Those are some very beautiful ones you have here, I especially like the blue one. Scott |

Thanks for all the comments guys.
These are very interesting vacuums. I like how the motor works backwards. The fans sit behind the motor sucking air through the motor first. When air is pumped through a Fan it heats up due to friction, On normal vacuum motor design the fan sits in front it heats up the air before sending it through to the motor to cool it down. With the back wards set up the air passing over the motor is always cool leading to long motor life and they do last long. The Blue version was a SouthAfrican special edition |

A few years ago I responded to an advert that said many models of Nilfisk for sale. I went and bought the whole lot, a new Housekeeper had taken over from a old school retired one and decided these horrible little things were to old school and useless and bought a Brand new lot of Sebo G1's. I told him he would regret his decision but gladly bought all the units which included all there hoses and most had power heads on them.
Almost a year to the date I bought them I got a call from the housekeeper who had managed to track me down. Please tell me you still have them and would be willing to sell them back to me He asked. After enduring endless sebo breakdown and there horrific service charges He had decided to go back to the old Nilfisks , The old retired housekeeper might have had something to do with this too. In the 30 years he had worked there he had never had any serious problems with the Nilfisks. I agreed to resell the back to them , They had all been over hauled with new motor bearings and brushes and I was very proud of my Nilfisk army but agreed for a " small " ;) fee to sell them back. The deal included me keeping the oldest Ga70 and all the broken sebo's which I fixed and sold inn the trade. I see those little Nilfisks every years for a service. They will out last almost anything |

On the blue Nilfisk there is what looks like a hose connector on the top-is this for an extra filter or to use the machine as a blower? |
