I have tried unsuccessfully to find anyone (Aerus and this club) that can use serial IDs from vintage machines to provide an exact year of manufacture due to the purging of records. Undoubtedly there are some former branch owners or salespersons who have such records, but they are apparently not members or guests of the VCCC.

Like motor vehicles, having an exact year of a cleaner's manufacture date would add to the coolness (instead of just saying, "I own a Model XXX" one could positively say "I own a '44 Model XXX"--and not just give a likelihood or range).

FYI I did read in one thread on this site that a serial ID's LETTERS (on either ends of the digits) would be used to determine the year of manufacture--not the digits.

Charles' website will likely benefit you. Best wishes.

One handle on EBay left. Item # 190928891410 gray in color. You can also buy an aftermarket cord there too. Bill,
