I've acquired quite a few more vacuums. I'll start with this- An 80s Cream and Brown Numatic Henry HVR200 which I bough off another collector called James Sandilands.

Was donated a vax upright and a morphy richatds upright. The vax was scrap but kept the brushroll and the Morphy Richards is now used every week or so at my Grandmas house. No pics as I doubt you'll be interested in those

Picked up this Lux Contour for £5. Made a new stretch hose for it as the original hose was pathetic

Found this thing in the trash, AGES ago actually, but motor bearings went after I used it for some really fine dust etc in the garage. Asda model branded 'Schneider'....

Next up I bought this DC03 standard off a fellow collector and friend Ultimatevacman so that I could use it often without being scared I'd break my other DC03 in better condition

Was also given this lovely DC08 off Ultimatevacman, as it needs a motor

Thanks everybody, and Alex, come on, you own a far better cleaner than anything pictures on my wall... that deep cleans exceptionally well... Are you thinking turbopower 1? Kirby?
No, I meant the DC01 of course

Tayyab the DC05 turbo brush isn't worth bothering with in my opinion!!

Dyson's altogether are not worth bothering with to be honest.

George: Than you :)
Alex:Try a DC15 :D Best grooming Dyson with the strong suction. block the large debris channel up before you use it or it leaks suction just to pick up the large crap

The best Dyson's I have used would be the DC01.......NO I joke! In seriousness the best Dyson's I have used are the DC41, DC28 and at a push the DC25.

Not a Dyson lover

Most people know I'm not dysons number 1 fan but I have to say the best ones I've ever owned and used are the last generation of the DC01, the clutchless DC04 and the clutchless DC07 I'm not keen on any of the others. That's just my opinion I know there are many many Dyson lovers out there just not one of them

Post# 262568 , Reply# 38   1/9/2014 at 11:00 (3,759 days old) by dysondestijl (east midlands, UK)

I really want to use the DC28, but since we don't have them in the UK that's going to be quite hard, unless I take a trip to Micheals house.... Lol

Post# 262577 , Reply# 39   1/9/2014 at 13:05 (3,759 days old) by parwaz786 ( )

That is true, but Alex your taking the mick lol
George you can always import an american DC28 :D
I think the DC04 lime, Non clutched DC07's, DC14's and DC15's are the best because they are all powerful, more sturdier than other models, have nice features, excellent suction, last long if maintained and much more. My personal favourite is the DC14 Origin with the yellow colour and not the metallic orange they offered

Tayyab you really need to get a KIRBY or a 70's, 80's or 90's HOOVER then tell me about a good vacuum cleaner! :)

Post# 262635 , Reply# 41   1/10/2014 at 01:53 (3,758 days old) by parwaz786 ( )

Yes, OK I guess
I want a hoover purepower with activator as I think they do the same beating as a TP1 or TP2?

*faints*, no no no no no the purepower is nothing like a turbopower 1, when Alex says 90s Hoover I think he is referring to the tp1's

Yes Turbopower 1 or 2 not Purepower, Christ! The purepower is okay, just okay. Tayyab I do honestly think you should take a break from Dyson and try something else.

Post# 262657 , Reply# 44   1/10/2014 at 10:06 (3,758 days old) by parwaz786 ( )

Cheers Michael and Alex :)
I want a TP1 as it Sticks to the carpet I think?
It's what I heard anyways tho lol
but I see plenty of "the bananna hoovers" at carboots so might just consider them
I remember when I was a small child and went carbooting with the family, there were Turbo power 1's, TP2's and TP3's every week everywhere! lol :)
And the good old days when everybody upgraded to Dyson DC04's and I saw 2 DC01's from different homes being thrown out when I was walking with my Aunty to the local shops

Tayyab I would recommend you to try a Turbopower 1 before a Turbopower 2, Turbopower 2's are very good but not AS good as a Turbopower 1, the Turbopower 1 is out of this world for the money you paid for it at the time.
