One of my old college buddies is coming by today to see our new house so I decided to run a vacuum through the house. I started to reach for my newer vacuum but decided instead to pull out an oldie to do the job....I love the sound of an old Electrolux motor...and it works amazingly well! Just goes to show you, you don't need one of those supercharged monster vacs that scream like a banshee to do a good job! Even my 9 month old isn't afraid of this one!!!

How do those skis do on hard surfaces for manuevering and not scratching? Do they float on air like a Constellation at all?

No, it doesn't float and if we had regular hardwood floors I would have carried it. Because we have kids we opted for the laminate flooring so it scoots along fine and didn't scratch a thing! Good thing too, my wife would probably kill me if I scarred up the new floors!!!

That's great that it manuevers so well on them. I always wondered about that, I know on carpets it would be fine. Thanks for the info. Happy cleaning, sounds like the Electrolux continues to do a great job for you!! It looks to be in excellent condition.

electrolux

You should really change the hose because you are losing suction with that old cloth hose. It looks as if there is a break in it.
