Yes, I was thinking that. I'm just wandering what the wattages are though. |

I have the Turbopower UTP1610 model an that is 1600W, so if they say 50% saving on electricity then the EcoG version is probably 800W. As for the ecoG Telios version, that's likely to be 1200W max |

Ty for bringing this new range to our attention, Hi-Lo.
I must say I'm a bit disappointed that Hoover don't use an old phrase that used to bless our old washing machines - the Ecologic range. Ecologic would have been a better word as well as in keeping with Hoover's persistence in using old names on newer appliances. Also its a bit cheeky (and typical) of Hoover to and rename a model though with the "Enigma" bagged cylinder vacuum just using the same body as the TeliosPlus. |

Perhaps the only difference between the TeliosPlus & the Enigma is the price difference but people will buy it like the Purepower / Enigma Upright. |

Perhaps, or they will just use Amazon UK to get a better bargain. The lead in prices for these "new" Eco-G products by Hoover look too expensive.
I notice that a 2400 watt TeliosPlus is currently on sale there for £100 whilst the £89-99 2300 watt Telios bagged cylinder vac is still on sale at Argos. CLICK HERE TO GO TO sebo_fan's LINK |

Thanks for the information HiLo the globe is already quiet low wattage so will be interesting to see what this one is. Just been looking on Argos some new Bissell's and Vax machines both seem to be offering lift of vacuums like the Shark Navigator/Rotator. This Vax may tempt me once the price is slashed.

I saw the Bissell range in Argos too. I quite like the idea of the new PowerGlide Lift Off, and the link here shows the listing on Amazon.com I like the idea that it swivels. Looks a lot better than my old Hoover Slalom. Note the SEBO copied hoister wand idea and a similar Miele S7 handle.

Typical bloody Hoover UK. Phoned the customer services to request the information from the vacuums concerned. Got papped off with the usual excuses "we don't have that info to hand because those vacuums are exclusive to the retailer. You would have to contact them."
I ask - "So what happens when they go wrong? When they break down, the customer is asked to take the machine back to Hoover UK?" Hoover UK response - "Oh yes, we take them back to repair them.." I ask - "So, surely you would have data information sheets that shows the low down on the machines? After all, your engineers already have that info to hand in their computers.." Hoover UK response - "We will have to take your details as the sales team don't know of the models requested." No wonder Hoover UK are going tits up. Surely to god if they were that serious about promoting ANY of their floorcare ranges, they'd appear on the UK website FIRST before papping it off to Argos. |

I wonder if Vax do the same but I guess they ACTUALLY list all of their models on the website. |

Well Vax can get caught out sometimes - cue the range of models that were first shown on www.very.co.uk... before Vax listed them on their own site, but to be fair to Vax, they have a far better owner company who put out the models to the official sites worldwide rather than sitting and taking a fair old time of doing it.

Finally, Hoover have released their ECO G on their UK website. But only for the bagless Globe based upright and Rush based cylinder vac.
As usual though, their 50% claim on energy saving doesn't quite sit right given the 2000/2300 watts of the Rush and the standard 1100/1200/1300 watts of the standard Globe. Their £329 (yes really) Hoover Eco G upright (Globe model GLE900) has 900 watts. Their £119 Hoover Eco-G Express cylinder has 1100 watts. The TeliosPlus based cylinder vac however has yet to be listed. CLICK HERE TO GO TO sebo_fan's LINK |

At the weekend I used a Hoover Sensory 2000 watt bagged cylinder vac. I was very surprised at how quiet it was, even at full power and not a patch on the old TS2065 model I had in 2011.
The red TS2353 has plenty of suction and the air out the back of the grid doesn't go in my face. It was rated at 78dbl! It is a pity that the Sensory's main tools consist of that cheap slider crevice-out-of-a-cup and brush combo tool and it doesn't exactly inspire confidence when clipped to the underside of the handle. I was however very surprised on how easy the Sensory was to use - it has a longish hose, easy tubes and all the while didn't make much of a racket. The model they copied was Bosch with their BSGL3 series where the lid opens from the rear. |
