It is obviously a pre-1989 model. Sometimes, you may be able to decode when your Eureka cleaner was made by looking at the hash marks on the bottom of the machine.

That's a very strange model number for a Eureka...it's usually a three or four digit number like "754" or "2083"....maybe with a letter tacked onto the end of it like 3234C. Perhaps what you are giving us is actually a serial number. Look again at the metal brand plate and give us the rest of what you read there...:-)

Ah...I see... That's quite old...probably made in Detroit before the move to Bloomington. Maybe that IS the model number! :-)

I believe Eureka's Model "M" dates to 1938?
