I just bought a Hoover Elite 600 off of eBay that just came today. I am planning on replacing the cord on it and was wondering if I should get a used Elite cord on eBay or if I should buy an orange commercial elite cord for it. I am replacing it because the cord is torn in some places. The Vacuum was manufactured in September 1990.

It would definitely look better with an original white/grey cord or a black cord. Those orange cords just look gaudy on household machines.

If you want a period correct cord, shoot me an email. I think I have a spare one kicking around.

I still have to test it out as well to see if the fan, bearings, and brush roll all work. I don't know when I'll get the chance to, probably will this weekend. I will be posting pictures of the vacuum once I get the cord replaced and get it cleaned up.
