Hi folks,

My best friend, Becki, has been using my Miele S5210 for a couple of years now. She is a single Mum of 2 in a 3 bedroom house with a mixture of floortypes. She loves the Miele but being a busy Mum and not having a lot of money, going to get the bags and the cost was becoming difficult. She has 3 dogs and seemed to fill a bag in no time.

She asked if I could recommend a good bagless cleaner for her, preferably one with a long stair hose. Obviously, Dyson were my first suggestion but they were way out of her price range. We looked at other options like the Vax Mach Air's and others but all suitable models seemed to be expensive and none of the cheaper cleaners had brush controls to be able to vacuum the wood and tile floors downstairs with.

So I did some snooping around online and stumbled across Dyson Direct, an eBay shop based in Gosport. I ordered a Dyson DC04 Standard (silver/yellow with brush controls) for the grand total of...£44.00!! The cleaner was fully refurbished.

When it arrived, it looked brand new. There's not a mark on it and all 3 of the tools were new and still in their plastic wrappers (they're non-genuine but still good quality).

Becki is more than pleased with her purchase and I'm incredibly impressed with the quality of the refurb and the quick delivery. We paid for the cleaner on Friday and it arrived on Tuesday. I cannot recommend this seller enough. If anyone is after a decent bagless cleaner at a lost cost, I would strongly suggest having a look at this page.

Hope this is of help to someone.

Chris

Thank you! I used to think eBay Dyson refurbishers didn't do the job very well, I thought Manchester vacs was the best, now after reading a true review I am not 100% confident in buying a refurbished one :)

Kind Regards

Hi Tayyab,

I'd highly recommend them. The DC04 is the oldest and cheapest cleaner they sell, but as I said, when we got it out of the box, it looked new. Not a spec of dust or a scratch on it! The tools and filter were all brand new and there was no visable wear to the hose or brushroll.

I don't know if I'd recommend them from a collectors point of view as lots of the parts are not original, but for a cleaner that's intended to be used as a daily driver, you can't go far wrong.

Becki is thrilled with her vacuum - I've never seen a non-collector/enthusiast so happy with a vacuum. Her biggest thrill was that the hose reaches all the way up her stairs lol.

They also have a constant max for sale which I considered, but opted for the Silver-Yellow model as this had the clutch controls for cleaning bare floors.

I've never bought a machine from Manchester Vacs, so I can't comment on their refurbs.

Chris
