This came from the Tennessee haul with the original bag! To preserve the old bag I will not be keeping it on this machine, but cleaned up and stored away. Instead I put an NOS genuine Hoover bag on it. Its twosspeed and runs beautifully!

That's a very good looking machine.

Isn't it nice when you find something like this that hasn't been messed with over the years. It doesn't show its true age at all.

I HAVE ASKED JIM OVER THE YEARS IF HE HAS THIS MODEL OR THAT MODEL. ALWAYS THE SAME RESPONSES. I KNOW I WAS SUPPOSED TO GO AND WORK WITH HIM IN THE SHOP YEARS AGO BUT I HAD TO COME BACK HERE UNFORTUNATLY. THIS IS WHY I ALSO DONT BOTHER TRYING TO SEND ANY DCO1 OR DC02 DYSONS. EVERYTIME I SEE ONE IN A SHOP OR FLEA MARKET I THINK ABOUT IT BUT ALWAYS THINK WHY BOTHER.

THAT MACHINE LOOKS GREAT ANYWAY. IS THAT A MODEL 825?? THAT MODEL WAS THE FIRST ONE TO BE MANUFACTURED IN THE NEW PERIVALE PLANT WHEN IT OPENED IN 1935. THE FIRST JUNIOR MODEL THE 370 WAS MADE TO GO ALONG SIDE OF IT IN THE NEW RANGE AS WELL AS THE FIRST DUSTETTE.

I REGRET HAVING TO LIVE HERE AS COLLECTORS DONT REALLY SEEM TO GET TOGETHER MUCH IF AT ALL. THERE WAS ONE MINI MEET IN LONDON BUT MY JOB PREVENTED ME FROM GOING. JUST AS WELL AS I DONT THINK ONE COLLECTOR WOULD HAVE WANTED TO SEE ME ANYWAY. A FEW TRIED TO ORGANIZE A CONVENTION HERE BUT MOST SAID IT WAS TOO FAR TO GO. THIS COUNTRY IS ONLY THE SIZE OF FLORIDA FOR GODS SAKE. HOW FAR COULD IT BE?? AMERICANS FLY AND DRIVE THEIR PRIZED MACHINES ACROSS STATES TO GET TOGETHER.

I BET I WOULD HAVE MADE LOADS OF FRIENDS IF I HAD BEEN ABLE TO WORK IN THE VAC SHOP. I WOULD STILL LIKE TO. BUT I SOMEHOW DON'T THINK THAT WILL EVER BE.

Nice find, with the original bag! I think this is one of the nicest models Hoover ever made. I love the light-up logo.

I was delighted to come across one of these 825 bags a couple of months back, even if it was attached to a 750 - I think it was a re-con. machine, probably from the early 1950s. Both have been re-homed with another collector who will appreciate them more, the bag with his 825 and his 750 was not in as good condition as this one. But it was the bag that was the real find :)
