What vintage vacuums were available in Mexico, Central & South America?  Did they have the same vacuums & shampooers/polishers like here in the USA or were their machines different from USA machines? Did they have Aerus/Electrolux, Compact/TriStar or any other high-end brands or did those countries have different brands that aren't well-known?

vacs south of border

 I know little here but have seen pictures of Hoover delivery vans in Mexico (for both vacs and washers) from Hoover company newsletters.Before Aerus, Electrolux seems to have been US only or Canada only.At one time (60s ?) Compact had a small factory in Porto Rico. Don't know if it changed sales areas.
