Does anyone here know anything technical about the American Lincoln Super-Sweep 18" janitorial vacuum cleaner? Like as to when the model changed color schemes, or parts lists? Like Kirby, American Lincoln in this period was a division of Scott & Fetzer.

Here are the trim colors:
* Green plastic trim for handle grip, bumper and wheels (all same as then-current Kirby Dual Sanitronic 80 except for the obvious 18" wide bumper); black foot switch; army green aluminum parts; white bag with army green at bottom; Kirby 516-style front wheel bracket shaft (but for wide wheels, actually just two double narrow wheels) (1968 to 1974)
* White plastic trim for handle grip and bumper, black wheels and foot switch; emerald green aluminum parts; white bag with emerald green at bottom; 516-style front wheel bracket shaft continues until about 1975 (1974 to 1976)
* White plastic trim for handle grip and bumper, black wheels and foot switch; dark blue aluminum parts; white bag; Classic Omega-style front wheel bracket shaft (still double narrows) (1976 to 1984).
** In early 1978, the handle assembly would be revised, with the cord hooks being moved to the right-hand side (when viewed at front) and the cord/bag hook moves from the back side to the left hand side of the cleaner (all same as Classic III's 1978 changes)
** After around the summer of 1979, this model was known as the "Super Vac 180." An 11-curved blade polycarbonate fan would replace the 10-straight blade metal fan in early 1980.

A CURIOUS QUESTION
Were there any army-green Super-Sweeps with the Classic Omega-style front wheel bracket shaft?

Their could be some Super-Sweeps with the Omega style wheel bracket, Perhaps left-over stock + new parts = The Super-Sweep you have in mind.

Ben, wasn't there a tan Janitronic before the green one? Similar color trim to the Dual 50??

Yes there was a sirroco/tan one as well to match the sani- dual 50. We saw many of them for parts in the basement of A-vac in MN. I think that was the name of the place we visited.
