I found this today, at first I thought it was a 110v US import but after looking at it it had a euro plug and is 220v.

It needs some attention but should be a good runner

Its the U.S. Dimension, legacy based. I love how some people can't even wrap a simple hose correctly, like how attachments always go missing when they are stored right on the machine.

Thanks Guys was honestly not to sure what model it was, Yea its in poor shape but seen as its probably the only one in SA I had to have it. I think it could have been a sample machine aswell and then sold on to staff.

Its very loose and feels like a badly put together but I am sure its just from years of torture. Very very Noisy.

"very loose"

The bracket to hold down belt side of motor is one of few problem areas.Yours may have worn/cracked fan. From standard Elites to your more deluxe version these were good vacs for the money. Also very easy to take apart and clean, service, repair.Happy Hoovering!

My brother's Turquoise Elite had the noise but bad handle vibration also, tingled my finger nails, sure sign the fan was damaged. Yep, it was.

Nice find, Gareth! And I like the teal color, too. One thing I noticed that makes yours unique is that it says "permanent bag" on the powerhead....so yours must have came with a cloth shake-out bag. That's something you could order for most Hoover Elite's here in North America, but never did come standard on any of their cleaners to my knowledge.

The United States version with that same color and top mounted covered tool storage would be a Dimension. Would have had 7.3Amp motor, Type A bags and 38528-027 belt. Good performers, Consumer Reports highly rated that model!
