My mother still has the same Super J Electrolux Tank she purchased circa 1975. The check bag light will not go off, therefore the motor will not run.

When I opened the faceplate, there was a piece of melted plastic from the plastic plate inbetween the two wired parts. It appears the wired metal piece should somehow fit into or over the plastic plate. Can any of you gurus tell me what I'm looking at and where I might possibly get parts to repair it?

Thanks!

Bag lockout switch

The switch is able to be gotten from Aerus. Just ask about a bag lockout switch for Super J. They were on 1205 thru the last steel body automatic canister.I have several in my stock if you can't get one.
