Over here it was a dirt devil it was the first generation broom vac, it had a center suction hole in the bottom of it that would collect the particles. It used a dustbuster like filter. I used to clean for a lady that had one i would use it in the kitchen i felt it collected finer particles better due to the airflow. it did an alright job but probably not as good as a canister with a good floor brush.
