1) A Sebo Felix for $8 from the Salvation Army that only had one problem -- it was clogged up with (among other things) a child's knitted coin purse! Also, the wraparound exhaust filter was hanging loosely on the cleaner body rather than being firmly attached. I cleaned the machine up an out, reattached the filter, and bought some bags for it -- yielding me a perfect cleaner for roughly $22.
2) An Electrolux Oxygen 3 Deepclean (canister only: no hose, attachments, or PN) for $10 also from the Salvation Army that was completely dead. My friend Tom Rosiek, a local vac shop owner to whom I brought the machine, determined the problem was with the Sumo board -- and fixed the existing board for $25 instead of replacing it altogether. Since I already had a hose, attachments, and a PN from my TwinClean that also fit on the Oxy3, my total cost for this otherwise perfect condition machine was $35!
3) A Windsor Sensor SR12 upright marked down from $12 to $6 at the now-defunct Project RETAP Thrift Store. They were going out of business, and were having a 50% off sale the day I found the Sensor. It just needed a good cleaning, new bags and filters, new brush roll, and some electrical tape in a couple of spots on the cord. Otherwise, it was (and still is) in beautiful shape! For those who have read my posts in the past, this machine is my daily driver.

I'd say my rainbow E-2 i paid about 508 in total for a black rainbow. I was honestly quite shocked that i won it at all, as just a day, or two, before i saw a one day auction go from 0 to about 1200.
Other than that i paid $25 for my tristar CXL $50 for my silver King Blue max 2000 (current model) $10 for a 2 speed eureka cordaway that has already been serviced. |

Hmm,
Probably my 1983 Kenmore Let's Clean canister vacuum. Paid $5 and came with the storage tub, hose, wands, all attachments and even the manual! Great condition too. Then an Electrolux Grand Marquis, good hose, wands, PN, all attachments and Sidekick for $10. Just needed some cleaning. And a Penncrest Hoover Constellation for $3. Not so great condition but runs fine and I wanted a Constellation and happened to find it. |

My Eureka 1784B in fantastic condition was marked $5 at a yard sale. I took it to the table and with out my even saying anything they gave it to me for $3, but I bought a few other things from that same yard sale.
However, the absolute greatest deals are those gifted by others. I highly appreciate the generosity of Bill Wood for the Hoover Celebrity II Elite S3061-030 canister and John Long for the Hoover Windtunnel S3630 bagged canister! The gifting generosity is the best deal and most appreciated!!! |

Just walked out of Goodwill with a Tristar EXL complete with powernozzle and looks to be used very little - for $11.99. I was scared someone might recognize it on the way out and I'd get mugged for it. lol
I also had a bagless Kenmore vac on that same trip that I had no idea was 75% off until I looked at the receipt at home - only cost $1.50! I got it because I have absolutely no Kenmore brand vacs in my collection other thsn one I imported across the Canadian border a few years ago. |

A few that come immediately to mind are:
-Kirby G6 $0, dumpster find, needed a bag and a belt. I later found a set of G6 tools to go with it at a nearby thrift shop for $4 on half-price day. I like to think I reunited them. -Royal Prince 501 handheld $2.99 at the same thrift shop where I got the Kirby tools. Perfect shape except for a load of dog hair in the bag. -Electrolux Diamond J $10 with generic hose and PN5 power nozzle in near perfect shape. -Electrolux Discovery II upright $0 curb find with hose. Almost like new. -Electrolux Epic 3500 upright $3 at Goodwill in near perfect condition. |

My best deal was probably my Kirby G3 and Diamond Edition. I found them for sale on Facebook market place and they looked in good shape but the pictures were only of the vacuums, I messaged the guy and told him I’d take both cause he was selling them for $50 each. I showed up and was super stoked to see that he had the original boxes, paper work and attachments! On top of that they looked a lot better in person and much like any Kirby, cause they are built like tanks, still ran like it was brand new! Another good deal I got was also on market place it was a Kirby Avalir2 with attachments and shampoo system for $150 the lady that owned it had moved to a new house that mainly had hardwood floors and a central vacuum so she didn’t see the point of keeping it, which I get, I figured $150 was pretty cheap for the current running system!
