I recently won a 1956 Electrolux Thrift Model T from eBay!

Here are some pics (from eBay listing)

Is this the correct hose for the Thrift Model T or is the hose more of a hammertone "blue jean" blue?

I hope you treasure that machine for the rest of your life. Do you have any idea how rare it is, especially in that condition?!

The hose is original, just very faded.

P.S.: Here's mine. (See link) That hose in my photos is the one that came with it but I don't think it's original. It's a woven vinyl hose, not cloth, so it's actually original to the E-Automatic. However, it has a blue machine-end coupler. I've never seen this color coupler on any hose except the cloth Model E hose.

Granted, the T was pretty much a "shelf-clean-off" model so it's possible they were sold with all sorts of attachments odds-and-ends.

You will also note that mine has the more expensive Belden cord, whereas yours (and other I've seen) has the cheaper ribbed cord used on the Model S.

I was watching the one you won, and I can only say you're very lucky it didn't get bid up into the stratosphere. As rare as it is, I was surprised by the relatively lukewarm bidding on it. Good for you! :)

Will these micro-lined bags work on this vacuum? Or do I need different paper bags? I prefer to use paper bag inside cloth bag instead of the cloth bag only
