Hoover Windtunnel Air is light and able to be used on stairs provided it has the extension hose on top of the existing hose on board. It's easy to push usually and would provide a good clean.
One of my relatives who has a small ranch in Texas has a Sanitaire upright - the bagged ones - seems to do well in that type of home where there are no stairs but plenty of carpet. Hard floors just get swept with a broom. |

They asked me for advice. And they don't need to buy new vacuums yet, they just want my suggestions for when they decide to get new machines in the near future :) |

I'd be happy to come do a Filter Queen demo. They follow you wherever you want with the smooth rolling wheels. Power head, bare floor brush, crevice tool, dusting brush, all tools with horsehair to be aggressive on dirt and gentle on surfaces. Lifetime warranted, extremely durable units.
The last cleaning appliance that they'll ever need. Retired couples love these and we have plans to fit every budget. |

I'll definitely look in to these machines as recommendations.
Rob, thank you for your offer, but as you live around 3 hours away from me and my relatives, I don't know if that would be convenient... |
