This weekend I went up to the Wisconsin dells area for a break. Saturday I went out to the local flee market and a few other stops. At one the local thrift stores I came across a 1947 Model B Rexair vacuum. Complete with attachaments and a working motor. What a score. Plus the owners manual and orginal sales reciept included. (I usually dont get excited over any other brand but Kirby.) But had to have it. Puchase date was in Feb of 1947 for a cost of $99.75 purchased in Milwaukee Wisconsin and some how found its way to the Dells Area. I will try to post some pics soon and need to check out the seals. It seems to put out a good air flow at the exaust but lacks in suction. Looks like there is a seal that is not in place but in the box with the attachaments. Also sounds like one or more of the fan stages maybe loose. Will be a fun learning experience cleaning and restoring this one.
