So I Got it all torn down and the first issue, The paint that I ordered was supposed to be Pale green but arrived Pastel green. I was a bit cross at first but thought what the hell. Here it is after its clearcoat had been sprayed on as well.

I was even lucky enough to find a new head light lens for it, Very very scarce in SA

The bag came from a newer model and the bumper from a badly damaged donor machine I found at a scrap yard.

Very nice - and its still a lovely 60's colour combination, even in pastel mushy pea green. You have made it into a 1 off, and kudos to you for saving another great British vac. The 652 is my favourite senior model, and the model that was in production in the year I was born (1972). My parents used the Ranger model for years when I was small, which is basically the same model, just with the ranger hood. Very good and robust vacs, but the major drawback with them was the rate at which they chewed up drivebelts. My mother was forever running out of belts for ours and used a pair of nylons, cut up to do the job instead.

That looks absolutely stunning! It looks mint!  I love the color scheme and how the white trim just pops. It sure looks better than before!

You sir have a skill in restoring vintage vacuums.

I love the green base plate and brush bar, very unique!

Alex, your senior may be original (and very nice in its own right) but I think Gareth's pops a little more!

I never did care for the sweadish green colours at all on the 652, infact i really took a hate to it.

But this sweadish green and pastel green custom job reflecting the period has the megga wow factor from me.

Thats a head truner for sure a lovely custom job a one off beauty indeed,I dont think any one could say other wise.

SIMPLY STUNNING IN EVERY WAY!!!!!!!!!!!

yummmy I wonder what a pink 652 would look like in two shades of pink

Thank you so much. I am busy with a pink one now but I am keeping it original as its my only pink one and its a very early model.

Here it is in a line up of some of my other Hoovers Its the one behind Stig -lett
