Hello all,
So I was looking for a set of tools for my Hoover 28 and 26 with no luck, I went to eBay and found a full set of original tools in display box with the original cloth hose. Needless to say I snatched that up as fast as I could :). A little later I bought a Hoover model 725 with a replacement bag, bumper and cord, it will need a good polishing. I was wondering if anyone has an extra set of tools for the 725 they'd be willing to sell? The last two purchases from eBay I made was a rear conversion convertible attachment hose in new condition and a set of attachments in original box with hose for a model 63 I think, I don't have a 63 but hope to one day acquire one! I am super excited for them to arrive and will post pics when they arrive. My last question is will the 63 tools work with the 26/28?
Thank you and have a great day:)
Ben Bethany

Just for fun

Here is me with my model 26, taken last night by my all too wonderful fiancé! (The only girlfriend I've ever had that had supported this obsession) :)

63 tools

I actually got the model 63 tools in the mail today, unfortunately the seller despite my careful instructions sent it in its original shipping box, lucky for me it wasn't beat up too bad and the postal sticker came off with no damage! All in all it came in mint condition just needing to be cleaned! As far as the other stuff I should get it all this coming week, I am so excited!!! The 725 will be my oldest hoover next is the 26 then the 28 and 115 with tools and original bag/cord in mint shape! I'd love a first style convertible like a 65 or 66, one day I'll find one:)

Its nice to have a partner who supports your love of vacuums, My wife fully supports me too plus it means she doesn't have to vacuum the house as well :) She even runs my vacshop with me and finds vintage vacuums for my collection.

All you need is one, and she sounds like a super, and I do mean super fine lady - and the 26 is not half bad either!

You have some nice finds there! And it's great that your fiance supports your hobby! My wife is somewhat supportive, or actually, tolerant--as long as my sweepers are put away. And that is a nice 26 you have. Looks like you have the same bag on it as I have on mine. A replacement, but looks like it belongs on it.
As for your question regarding the attachments, the 63 attachments will fit the 28, but NOT the 26. The 26 takes a different connector, which was only used on the 25 and 26.

Love those Hoover attachments!

I remember my mom's Hoover Convertible 1060's matching brown attachments ... very high-quality hose and aluminum wands. I also remember how incredibly silky-smooth they always felt, never corroding.

It's just too bad the suction was so anemic ...
