Need some advice on a PN 2 motor. I have taken it apart because the motor sounded like it was pulling. I opened it to find a lot of dust build up around the coils ( probably calling it the wrong name)

I want to lubricate the pin. Is WD 40 okay to use? If not what would you recommend?

When I put the motor back together does the pin that faces the brushes go in between the brushes? There is a drop in for the pin. Just seems odd that the pin could be potentially rubbing against the brushes.

Thanks so much.
