We use only cylinder vacuums in Finland

Hi!
It would be nice to see when you next time visit in Finland. I live near Helsinki=)
Actually our vacuums are all cylinders. Only one upright Dyson or something and Electrolux Ergorapido is also very popular. About 70% of the market belongs to Electrolux (Electrolux and Volta together) and then Dyson and Miele.

Best Regards
Markus

Markus,

I wish I had know that you lived so close. It would have been fun meeting a fellow vacuum collector. Are you familiar with this department store. We had a whole day in Helsinki..it was awesome. Mark and I took the yellow boat tour which was recommended by our city tour leader.

What model is that?

In photo, "Reply #8", top-right on the Hoover stand, white & silver cylinder cleaner.

It looks like a curvy version of the late Eighties Mark 3 Hoover Sensotronic.

Vinvac: In Fact, I have been worked in Stockmann corporation with their net shop 2005-2007. Stockmann is the biggest department store in nordic coutries.

What stands out to me

is the quality of the displays! I rememer when I was a child vacuum displays in stores looked similar to this, but over in the UK now it's a few shelves with some cleaners vaguly assembled chucked on top. Those displays looks really nice!

Thanks Markus!

I have to agree. Most vacuum displays these days are simply thrown together and are a complete and utter hotch-potch. It is very refreshing to see a clean, tidy display, split by manufacturer.
