Yes, it is not sucking up the debris, just sweeping it. Somewhere there is a blockage or no suction is being made at all. |

Strip down time! Taken the baseplate off and check the suction port. If clear, remove the bag, unscrew and remove the bag fill tube and check the bellows. Put another cleaner on the bellows and check for airflow out of the base. Check the bag fill tube in the same way. |

If there are no signs of blockage, the first thing I would check is the fan. Occasionally they can wear out in the centre, where they thread onto the motor shaft, causing a loose fit. The result is a fan that either slips or doesn't turn at all, even though the motor and brush roll work fine.
Had this happen on a Turbo Junior once, and a new fan solved the problem right away. |
