Hi Everyone! Well,I must say,our convention in ole Milwaukee, was a fun time for everyone. As your Vice President,it was an Honor to have served as your leader. It was a fun time for me and kept me on the go and did remind me of the days of my teaching days.
I trully, had a lovely luncheon on Wednesday at Tania's.Those lovely finger sandwiches and Tea.So very English. Then Tania and myself we headed out to see the area about Tania's home.It is so beautiful. And we took in some shopping.
It must say,Duwane's man clave; its the ultimate.Tool's,vaccums, and furniture to set in,all you need Duwane is wide screen TV.His Collection is the tops. Our visit to the Mequon vaccuum store was one of the highlights for us all.I did do some purchasing.
I tried to keep our meetings light and fun, with laughter, but acheiving the business we needed to get done.
Tania,Duwane, and Charlie our Host and planners out did themself's.My hat's off to the three of you.
Poon,Chin and Joe keep the film rolling and interviewed most of us.Looking to seeing the film when it is done.Max,my companion kept,my make up even and the shadows balanced over the left eye.TeeHee...as I left the convention room and started home I was sad, but, looking to the 2014 Kirby convention.
Congrat's to Barb as our new member at large and Ken,as our treasure.
Hope to see eveyone at the Kirby 2014 convention.
Thank you,everyone! Michael

And, Thank YOU Michael!!

You did a stellar job conducting things. Morgan would be so proud. So would TERRY.
Tania, Duane, AND Charlie: y'all did a fantastic job. It was all so well-done. It was great to see you again. I hope the "newbies" had a blast as well.
So. Michael, I don't drink, but, I raise my Dr. Pepper to you...and Tania, Duane and charlie.
John.

Thanks to all !

Hi, I want to thank Michael. Hats off to him for doing such a wonderful job sitting in for Morgan. He did a great job and did not miss a beat. I want to thank Charlie, he did so much work for me and Tania. He lives so far from us, but he is a great planner. We both had several phone calls with him and went through the list to make sure we did not forget anything. Thanks Charlie! I want to thank Tania. We both live close and we had a lot of visits and phone calls to make sure this would be a wonderful convention. Thanks Tania. I want to thank every one who helped. And last, I want to thank everyone who came to the convention to make this such a memorable and fun convention. There is so much planning but all was worth it. I had so much fun with old friends and I met some new friends.

Duane

A great Milwaukee convention...thanks to Duane, Tania, and Charle, for a great time. Marc Turbyfill and I just got back from a short trip down to St. Louis and St. James, Mo., to visit Tom Gasko and the Vacuum Cleaner Museum. Tom was a great host, and we met his partner Dan. We stayed with John Pease for two nights...thanks John. We took John out for dinner last night.
Marc and I went to the Vacuum Cleaner Exchange in Belleville, Illinois, Bruce the owner let us us tour the "Mansion", a three story building filled with vacuum and parts. We found some great finds.

"Thanks for the memories.............."

This was my first convention.   I loved every minute of it.    So many people to thank.

Michael, you are the consummate leader.  You exude a genuine warmth.

Duane, a great man with a super "man cave". Thanks for your hospitality and the Eureka bags I bought.  Thanks to your wife as well for opening your home to us.

Tania, ever the gracious hostess. Your home is beautiful and such an awesome collection.  The XXX and LX are two of my favorites.  The Apex walked me down memory lane with someone so very dear to me. Another AWESOME lunch.

Charlie, great job organizing a convention.  Great Airway presentation.  Nice to meet your partner as well.

And a group thanks to so many people. John L(both of them!), Louis, Chad, Sean, Kenny, Phil, Bill, Paul, Rick........  The list goes on and on and I could never name all of you.  Know that I am so very grateful for the friendship and welcome you showed me.

MY first convention is now but a memory that will last forever.    "THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES..."

See you in Cleveland.   Next year the hubby comes too!

Greg F.

Thanks!

I don't know what I can say that hasn't already been said. A very good time was had by all! All the newbies were great, everything went as scheduled, but yet a very relaxed enjoyable time. Tania, Duane, Charlie, AWESOME job on everything! You couldn't ask for a warmer, friendlier group of people, all with a common interest. Hope to see you all next year, and some sooner than that at a mini-meet. Take care everyone, and thanks for a fun-filled five day retreat!

Rick A.

I agree! While I was not able to be there this year, I've been to other conventions, and have seen Tania in action, she is truly awesome.

It was in 2005 that I came back to the V.C.C.C. after having been away for 9 years. What John Lucia and I started were meetings, a small gathering of vacuum cleaner buffs around the country; what I saw in 2005, was a well run convention While I don't know Duane, I do know Charlie. Any convention that they plan is exciting, and fun. Trust me, I will be attending the next one!

And Murphy's looking as handsome as ever.  Give my best to him and to Arthur also, please!  Meantime, glad to hear that you had such a great time at the convention ... I'm looking forward to next year in Cleveland, which will be my "first convention".  Got to admit, I'm enjoying all these "firsts"!

BTW ... you said something earlier about raising a carbonated beverage in honor of one of the convention organizers -- shouldn't that be a Pittston Hospital Iced Tea?  :)

I would also like to thank the convention planning committee. The convention was a blast! I’m already looking forward to Kirby. It was great to see everyone! Until next year everyone take care! Thanks to Chad Cunningham for letting me use some of his pics. My camera batteries were running low.

Great Time was had by all !

Thanks John and others for the great pictures of the Convention. It looked like a wonderful time. Wish I could have done both of them. So had to choose the Face Book Group in St.James this year. Planning on being with you all next year in Cleveland. It will not be far from home, just up the road about 1 hr 20 mins .
Glad all had a great time.

It will be great to see you again, after all these years.
The convention really is the highlight of the year for the VCCC. It's great to reunite. It's also great to see the newbies experience it all. Every year, friendships get tighter. The vacuums get better. The fun lasts longer. It's hard to believe that one week ago NOW, we were getting ready to go to Duane's home. How fast a week can go!!

that vac shop John and I visited in Scranton was VacWay. We had a great visit with Jeff Partyka, one of the owners. I just wanted to be sure I was clear. I came away with some vacuums some of our members MIGHT be interested in. He was so pleasant and kind to both of us. Photos, etc on that later.

I returned to AZ on Thursday to 112 degree weather. Ugh.

But I sure had fun at the convention, and the later trip to Pittston/Scranton with Joe and John. I will be downloading a bunch of pictures tomorrow and posting them. Too many to do right now.

A THANK YOU to Tania, Charlie, Duane and Michael for conducting a great event. It really is like herding cats that are ADHD, isn't it??

(PS: For the record, our illustrious vice-president actually had 300 martinis during the Saturday festivities. One must keep accurate count of these things, OK?)
