It's a buyer's market, no doubt about it. That should by one sought after machine since it was a recession Kirby - not many sold. It didn't cost you anything, it was like he paid you to take it off his hands - Congratulations Big Dog and I really mean it! That's one job well done and one super nice Kirby.

In nicer condition then I thought

I've gotta admit when I looked at the listing photos of the machine when it was up at auction I really wasn't all that impressed. The overall condition of the machine looked to be pretty rough.

However, when it arrived the machine was actually in very good condition other then having a musty odor, in need of a good polishing and cleaning out dust from the motor. It still has a metal impeller fan that's in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or dings. The motor itself only needed to have dust blown out of it and oiled. The wheels show very little wear and the power cord is in excellent condition.

All in all it appears the machine was stored more then it was used. I only spent about 6 hours getting her all cleaned and polished up.

I got lucky with this one.
