Chad, I think you're right--that probably is the original upholstery nozzle. I'm sorry, at first glance it looked like white plastic to me. When you get to be my age your eyes can play tricks on you at times. Nice book you got with it, too! Looks like a 28 on the cover below the 50. Bet it's chock full of interesting info! I've got a model 42 Aerodyne I need to round up some tools for someday. It's the tan & blue one. Jeff |

Was not designed for paper bags. It has a lever on the bottom of the machine that you push down with the open bag side down that shakes the bag out. See picture. An Air Tech bag with the plastic cut out will work though.
