What is the best fan for a Kirby 514? It still has the six bladed fan, and I do not want to risk damaging it. Can I use a 516-LII fan?

The current replacement fan is plastic and is available under part no. 119078 but you will have to remove the pulley (shaft) that is to be used on the 516 and later models and add a spacer to adapt this fan to your 514.

Previously, Kirby did make a 10-blade metal fan for this under part no. 1189. Its sole original use was on the 515. The later 119056 10-blade metal fan (for models 516 to Tradition) will not adapt to models 505-515 because the shaft is not designed for these models.
