I gave in and got a bagged vacuum a few days ago lol! I’ve wanted one of these for a while now as I have the Freemotion, and just purely from a design perspective it takes some beating but as an everyday cleaner I would not recommend it obviously ☺. Here’s the packaging it came in I’ll cover the navigator control later but as for “Super Silent” I can confirm it is a very quiet vacuum, my test is it you can vacuum a room and not disturb people sat watching the TV.

Hoover Europe’s range I’m guessing this machine is not for much longer as none of the new range like the Globe and Turbo Power feature on this packaging.

Takes H60 Bags need to find some of these as only one came with the machine, kind of expected a spare, especially at the RRP of this vacuum.

Changes to remote control, I tried the Freemotion remote control with the Silent Energy, it works and makes the Silent Energy have four motor speeds where the original Silent Energy remote only gives three!!!! :o

Hoses compared ,the Silent Energy (Right) hose is much more flexible and has a string reinforced mesh. The Freemotion's hose (left) are well know to split, I believe it’s because they're so stiff (no innuendo please lol) Overall I really like this machine the finish is much tougher than the Freemotions and has not scratched yet! and I really think the hose would cope with daily use.

Good Head!

ultraperformer's profile picture
I know the Freemotion head got a lot of criticism but on hard floor I thought it was great :s However the Silent Energy head is just as good and better on carpet, it must be about 5-0 to the SE now! Overall this is a great machine 410 air watts too it really sucks! ;)

different heads

i think a power head would finish that machine off nicely

Thanks Kenneth :) I'm quiet liking the bag although I didn't put it back in quiet properly and got a bit of dust in the chamber :s Overall its nice to use and has it 440 Air watts not 410 like I said earlier but on full power the head is too hard to move on carpet so a powerhead like you say David or even a turbo head would be great I wondered about getting the Freemotion Turbohead but its white, suppose I could get one and spray it black but thats a bit of a faff?

How many years guarantee did you get when you bought the Silent Energy?

I think it is two years, it's packed away in the loft now so I can't really check and don't think I'll be getting it down for a while, certainly not in this heat lol, I'm sure it will tell you on Hoovers website :)

I have tried to find out but it dosen't say, is it worth £99.99 for real though?

According to Google it comes with a 5 year guarantee from Hoover's UK website. However, I've just found a whopper of a guarantee leaflet that you can download. It seems to lack a date of expiry : )

Also check Hoover's site where this 5 yr guarantee is concerned: www.hoover.co.uk/small-appliances...

Also do look at the Hoover TeliosPlus - www.hoover.co.uk/small-appliances...

As I've reflected on before, this is a good all rounder. It may lack the curvy look of the Silent Energy but at least bags are more wider available and all the tools hide behind a flap rather than clipping behind the handle.

It says you need the receipt to get it the 5 year guarantee

I have read about the 5 yr guarantee, it's for parts if they break & call out charges.

Where did you find out that The Silent Energy had a 5 yr guarantee.

I have seen the Telios Plus, it looks OK for the price.

Had a thought and searched my emails as I registered online mine has a two year guarantee, if I known of that leaflet I would of filled it in. As for the money £99 wasn't too steep for me the RRP of £179 is a bit steep as it's not built to a great standard, but as a fan of the Freemotion I had to get one for my collection. If you're wanting something to use week in week out then I wouldn't like to say, mine will get used a couple of times a year and then stored away to keep lovely and new :)

When I typed the model name and warranty into Google UK, here's what came up. It may be the case that its a previously searched link where this vacuum cleaner did have a 5 year warranty.

If I were to buy a new vacuum cleaner that is probably one I'd buy.

Could you possibly put a video of it in action on YouTube? That would give us a real indication of how loud/quiet it is.

The price of it is £99.99, that says it's £69.99

If I get one I might put a video up but ultraperformer said he wwas able to vacuum a room without disturbing people watching the TV.

Id imagine you would get a receipt etc from Hoover UK - they have to by law when buying new from the brand and I can remember Hoover sending me confirmation and e-receipt when I bought my Slalom from them many years ago.

I did say that the post I found on Google MAY have been an old listing - that happens a lot on Google.

Just watched your video UltraP, though this other video shows more of a sound from the three levels of suction on it. I suppose what's cool about it is that it has that Freemotion exhaust lift on the back of the machine plus the telescopic height trigger at the top of the handle.

If Hoover are still selling this 1100 watt model, I can see I'd have to wait a longer time for the Eco version of the TeliosPlus to come to the UK.

However I was thinking most of the time about my old SEBO K3 Premium - very similar design despite the exhaust cover not going up and down. Power control slider on the handle, 1800 watts and far quieter. Also has the original pull-pull cord design.

Hello Hi Lo

Each time I got a recepit in the post about week later , Hoover seem to send them separatly for some reason, I'm considering the PurePower GreenRay cyclinder to add to my Hoover collection I'll probably then call it a day for while as none of the new Hoovers interest me much and I want a Miele and another AEG to add to my AEG collection as their my favourite brand, I may then get rid of my Dyson, Vax and Morphy Richards as I don't really feel intrested in any of those brands anymore.
