Hello All! This is my first post here!
OK that's done.

Anyway I've been collecting vacuums since I was a little kid and I've settled on Kirby, Hoover, and whatever strikes me as particularly out-of-the-ordinary at the time I see it (just rescued an old Jet-Flo from the rubbish).

As you might guess I have more than a few Kirbys. Unfortunately all the the later models that I have suffer from a common ailment -Handle Droop. The handle tilts forward. Why is this? Can it be fixed?

Drooping Kirby Handles....

Yes, You can fix the drooping Kirby handles. It depends on what particular model you are trying to fix. I have a tool that is good for the 516-1CR. I think the tool came from Hesco, a friend of mine bought it and I borrowed it and ended up with it. I'm not real sure on the later Kirby's as to how to fix the handle spring. The spring may also need to be reattached inside the case as well, you'll have to take it apart to see for sure.
