Hi ladies and gents,

My friend Ron at Boulevard Vacuum in L.A. has had a customer actually bring in a Hoover 725 for repair! It has a bad armature and possibly other problems as well, so Ron just wants to swap out a complete motor. Any of the motors from the 700-800 series will fit, I do believe.

If anyone out there has a spare motor they'd be willing to sell, please call him directly --- the phone number at the store is 323-938-2661. Please, if someone could help him out that would be great. He's a really terrific guy, has a great shop (founded by his father in 1946), and has done me all sorts of favors for me over the years. Would be nice to be able to come thru for him on this. THX!

I wish I could help...I have a few 400/700/800-series motors spare, but I'm in the UK, so they're all 240v :(

He sounds like a nice guy, and it's great to hear a customer still has a 725 in regular use! I know of someone (a guy my friend James dated briefly), who has Hoover Model 450 as their day-to-day cleaner!

I really hope someone state-side can help you out!

:)

Thanks Kyle

If you do find something and call Ron, tell him you are the guy who was in L.A. to do the Megan show, and that we had planned to come to his shop but that time got away from us after you had your lunch and recovered from the taping!
