It is definately

unused and is complete.  I sold that HB with the Heritage 1-HD, although not many people bought them.  Pretty rare I'd say because it was discontinued shortly after the Turbo Group for the 1-HD was released.

It is made mention of in the original Heritage instruction book from 1981, but it does not show up in the 1983 revision of the instructions which means it was discontinued by the time of that updated printing.

I'm interested!

I'm hainterested if still available. I have this kit but the hose hand grip area got smashed in moving. What do you want for it?

At anyone else who has experience with these; I have the Handi butler for each my 516 of 1956 & my Sanitronic D50 of 1965 as well as a dark blue that appears to belong to the Tradition 3CB. While these extension hoses attach to the Heritage model power unit. The bayonet end appears to be alike. I will need to get to parents house this weekend to try.

Thankx in advance. (:

1981 Kirby Heritage - Handi Butler

Great news. It appears that all4 of my Handi Butler kits are pretty much compatible except for the actual power take off unit. They each fit one another but the safety switches for each are in different places, for example the Heritage has a single safety tab out to the right (as viewed from front) which uses the low speed (half way in). My Sanitrinic 50 has a dual set of safety switches.

Anyway, I was excited to see it work after borrowing the belt from my 1956 516 kit. So with all the kits combined, it can cut, grind, sharpen, wire brush, sand, buff, polish and drill. I added a 3/8" to mini dermal to use the Handi Butler kit of my Sentria

These Kirby vacuums really are 1 of the most versatile vacuums I've ever owned or used. I use My G10D Sentria for deep cleaning but my favorite now & then Kirby is my 1965 Dual Sanitronic 50 as is original I am working on a Hepa bag conversion utilizing the original style Sani Emptor with "F" style bag top for Hepa cloth bags. (more on that in another tread.
