Okay first off we have a Royal Classic Power Team. This was found this under the Minneapolis Craigslist. The description said it had a bad motor, the bearings were shot, they also would not come out of the machine so the motor was replaced with a good condition used filter queen motor. It pulls a 3 or 3.5 on the baird gauge. which is impressive after such a long hose.

An Airway! Also found under the Minneapolis Craigslist. When i got it it had a brown bag in it with that bag it could pull a 2 on my baird gauge but just yesterday i recieved some Air-tec poly bags with these bags it pulls a 5.5 putting it in the same league as my tristar, miele and riccar. It's powerhead seems to be the weakpoint of the machine it's a douglas? made head that has very soft bristles.

And last but not least

A nice condition Dial a Matic. A friend of mine found this at a local Savers and sent me a picture message about it. I was pretty lucky because the next day i got it for half the sticker price due to the tag color. It's in good cosmetic condition but i think the motor could use a clean out. When i got it someone had attempted to tape an A bag to the inlet the tape let loose and oooh quite a dust cloud came out when i turned it on. They also had managed to clog up the nozzle hose.

Nice!

All three are wonderful finds. I have the blue Power Tank Deluxe, they are very powerful cleaners. I have the same Vita Vac/AirWay as well. That power head is a Douglas unit and it is a weak point of an otherwise solid system. I believe that there was an option to have a Cen-Tec power head on these models too. I guess I"ll have to get some AirTec bags for mine if they made that big of a difference with it. And of course, Dial a Matics are always lovely!

always. They've set the pace for so much of the new stuff now.
