Once upon a time, I was house manager for a music venue for 4 years. Some of the greatest times of my life was there until the landlord gave us four to get out due to wishing to sell the building. I haste we moved as much as possible. In the rush, I left behind my trusty Electrolux Automatic F. I used it constantly and regretted its absence. That was 5 years ago.

Last night I walked by the place and got curious to see if my key still worked. It did. Going in, the place was trashed with water damage. I went back to the old storage room and sitting where I left it was my Electrolux.

It's completely ruined. It's rusting, inside and out. It needs a new motor as the old is a rigged airway motor that's dying fast. It needs a new cord that's safe to use. So basically it need full restoration. The problem is that this is far out of my league so I need a recommendation of someone in this country I can ship it to for full like new condition.

Springfield is little more than an hour from St. James. If you'll drive up to St. James, I'll give you a beautiful Automatic F for free. I have two duplicates.

Josef,

I wouldn't discard the old Model F if I were you.  It may come in handy for parts, but you could also eventually find someone to restore it.  Glad to hear that you were able to retrieve it after 5 years.

For free!

Josef I'm glad you could find your old vacuum. That's good, but don't get rid of it, after such a long service, it's a pity  to loose it again.

To Tom I feel thankful, although I'm nobody in this case, but I appreciate your generous behaviour. People like you,  rise the ethics of this site and show a very good example as we all should behave. Hugs to you two, Gus
