Please let me know if the hose in the photo below is an OEM product--and if so to what machine it originally belonged:

The photo is from a current Ebay listing.  The machine looks like a rebuilt Model S (repainted in gold hammertone).

The machine looks like a Desco or Metropolitan rebuilt model E ? The hose looks like it is a replacement hose manufactured from Lawrence Industries, which was a company that was also owned by Consolidated Foods, they were the company that made the OEM parts for Electrolux, so the hose is not an OEM color but it is OEM quality, I still have one of those color hoses from lawrence Industries brand new in the 1205 electric hose style.

It does look like a Metropolitan rebuilt, note the riveted-on cord storage halo. It's quite possible that is a rebuilt model S - simply because if the machine were a model E, it would have had a cord halo that screwed on from the sides. Only the S had no cord storage provision - so the riveted-on halo (which appears to be very thin metal - note the missing section at the bottom) would make sense.

Yes, Tom, your right, I found the auction, it is definitely a model S with a halo screwed on.
