OMG wow! Lucky mate :D and red soleplate! :) If I had that, I would get some red tape and cover the grey :) electrical tape is best as it wont leave any stickiness behind :D And I love the finds today George :) Enjoy!

I got my First De stijl in 2012 (DC01) summer approx and I loved it! I gave it to a close family friend, but she looks after vacuums well, she has more than me!!! and my house is even bigger and busier than hers! but her grandson's vacuum sometimes, or her self, she had a DC07 Standard before I gave her with a dirty filter, worn out belt, suction leaking out in the cleaner head, like a MASSIVE amount of suction because the soleplatre was broken, and cyclones dirty, after 2 uses, the bin got full, WOW!
but the DC07's spine cracked where the wand slides into the main vacuum at the top, common problem it was in pieces by me after trying to fix it I cut tiny holes and put in screws, but the wand still slid out, so I got rid of ti and kept only some good parts, and then I got this AMAZING DC07 standard from 2001 with circle plug, and all it needed was a hose repair :D
still liking it

Once again-

-the British are different. Our DD hand bag pulls(or twists)off in 1 piece.Yours with zipper looks easier for using paper bag.Love the dyson colors.

Dirt Devil hand vac-

Just above is same as ours.I remember seeing the first one in a now gone dept store in a now remodeled strip mall in 1985.I was familiar with the metal Royal Prince and thought the DD would sell well and it did as with every new style DD customers hoped it was new and wonderful as they have with then unknown models since. The hand vac started with cloth bag only, then optional paper bag adapter, then built in adapter.Good vac for small jobs.
