These are mid/ late 1980's from what I remember. There are a bunch of these on Vacuumland, and somewhere on Vacuumland is an actual poster for one too, of the Hoover sheets, like what department stores would get for information on product lines to carry.
Type A Hoover cloth bag. Air freshener compartment. Slide it for varied strength of smell. Pull it up for replacing with fresh tablet from Hoover, Micro Clean or other manufacturer. Should be 6.5 Amp motor I believe. Dual headlamps that wrap around-- probably the coolest looking headlight on any vacuum ever!! Originally would have come with a tool set. Tool set would be Convertible style with adapter clipping onto bottom plate beneath agitator cavity. Tool set would have come with upholstery nozzle, crevice tool, long hose, extension wand and adapter. Belt is Hoover style 48, same as Convertible. Agitator would also be Convertible style. Original brush roll was single row red bristles, and a beater bar. Powerswitch is 3 position. Off, On, and Power Surge mode. I think you have to hold the switch for power surge mode, not sure if that locks or not? Power cord length should be 35' and top cord hook swivels. This model was available in the black that you have, a blue and also burgundy color under the Hoover Supremacy line. Good luck on the machine. It's possible if you post serial number, someone might be able to get a manufacturer date for you. |
