Do all power drive Hoovers come with built in scuffs?

The other concept I have looked the same way when I got it. I know Hoover's power drive isn't the smoothest but is that an excuse to smash your poor vacuum into the furniture.

Well at least the underside was in good shape.

The Kenmore canister looked to be in good shape except for a big wad of duct tape on the front of the hose. I took it off to inspect the damage.

I wrapped the hose in Saran Wrap and duct tape and that seems to have sealed it up pretty good. It's not perfect, but I can use it this way now. I do have an issue to investigate with the concept though. It only turns on in the High setting and not the low setting. Hopefully its just a loose wire or something easy to fix.

I can never understand how the plastic on the concepts gets deep gouges in them. It does not seem possible to gouge plastic as deeply as I have seen on some concepts. Maybe repeated rubbing against furnature in one area on those plastic hoods causes it to reshape...Something I've learned to live with in concepts is scratches. But very nice finds indeed.
