can anyone tell me where i can find original parts for my 505 kirby??? i'm in need of an original handle and the original bag. thank you!!!!!

The handle shouldn't be too hard to find (except the black rubber grip, that is). The bag ....... that's a different matter. They're "as scarce as hens' teeth." As are most vintage Kirby bags for that matter, and you have to wonder about that. It's not all that uncommon to find old Hoovers, even from the 1920s, with original bags, but you hardly ever find old Kirbys with the original bags still intact. They're not inferior to Hoover bags, as far as I can tell -- maybe it's just been a more aggressive practice by Kirby dealers to talk customers into replacing the bags. Even when they didn't NEED replacing.......
