I was doing a Google search last night, as I was trying to find the infomercial they had on TV in the last couple of years....and a Google search, as well as typing in their website address, turned up nothing. When you type in the website address, there is a message saying the domain name is for sale. And other than that, just companies listing contact info, & YouTube videos.

Such a shame too....such a cute, quirky little vacuum, with so much promise.

Rob

Airider

These vacuums were quite cool! I have got to say I never got to use one but I sure wish that I did. Airider vacuums were not sold anywhere near me though so there sales must have been low.

It is quite a shame I do agree, it was a great little machine

""The only thing we can't say about our product is that it's the first hovercraft vacuum cleaner. Hoover tried to create one in the 1950s, but it didn't work very well."

Yeah, it was only in production for 21 consecutive years.
The hose within a hose for a reach like the Constellation's Ultraflex is a cool idea.
Oh well, at least now with no more support or supplies Airiders will start showing up at Thrift stores and curbside...hope I find a yellow one.

Dave

The filter on them didn't seem like it'd be too great but it was an interesting looking vacuum it's a shame to hear they are gone.

Airider

Well lets see how they do this time!
I like the size and bags are cleaner for older
folks.
I guess they should have made it sleeker .

They said the last unit QC was terrible and
they did not want to ruin the market.
They took it off the market and revamped
the cleaning ability .

We shall see

At only 6.5 lbs it seems really light. Wonder what the suction is like?

They still blow the dust around on bare floors. We got one of the new Airider machines last month. They are "so-so" on carpets, and not too bad on bare floors. If it didn't ride on air, it would be much better. I turned it on its side to use it. Any dust in the carpet is also ejected into the air you're breathing. Not too good when you're testing the cleaning ability with sand and talc (which is how we test all vacuum at the Tacony Factory).

Interesting design. They are not for my situation; a turbo nozzle wouldn't cut it around here.

I still have one of the old Airiders NIB...........

I've been waiting for the right time to offer it on eBay.
